Praise the LORD!
God is so awesome. He made me smile till I teared. Well, I didn't really smile till I teared but I teared and smiled at the same time :')
This afternoon, as I was prepping myself for my first exam tmr, I had the sudden urge to check my email. AND when I read the first line, I WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO THANKFUL TO GOD THAT I COULDN'T EXPRESS HOW MUCH MORE :)
God has indeed blessed my family with sooooooo much. SO SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH! - it's almost unbelievable.
I was supposed to blog about this long ago but I never made it there. Hehe. It's a testimony my dad would definitely be telling :) I can't remember the full details by now so here's just a gist of it.
A few months back, probably in February or March, my dad applied to a seminary in Hawaii known as Haggai Institute for a short course (3 weeks?). Getting in would not be easy as applicants have to submit an essay of some sort and have to be within a certain age range. Fortunately, my dad was young enough to be enlisted into the program for this year only as if he applied next year, he'd be too old. HAHA. So, my family prayed for my dad constantly and after a long while, his reply came AND HE GOT ACCEPTED! Yeah, sometimes I wonder how, too, seeing that's my dad's English-writing skill has deteriorated over the years. LOL. So yeah, that was Praise-the-Lord#1.
Then, what my dad had to do next was to apply for his U.S. visa so that he could correspond and arrange things with the institute. WELL, applying for visas to the States is not easy. And to make things even harder, my dad had not-so-flattering records. Shall not elaborate here on the blog but yeah, I know! -> My dad looks so innocent, please! ;) So, my dad went to the embassy for an interview and they didn't give an immediate answer. Things didn't look to promising by the way my dad told me. And after continual praying again, his U.S. visa was finally granted - today! YAY! :) And this is Praise-the-Lord#2!
HAHA. I was super overjoyed when I read the news. IT IS SO EXCITING. THANK YOU, GOD!
p/s: I was so happy that I agreed to go to Coles with Eunice just to escape studying >.< I'm sorry. My ultimatum's only half-working :P
